I made these shapes by using deformers and adjusting the settings until I was satisfied with the results.
I especially liked using the bending tool, since the color combinations kept changing and it was fun to experiment with.
This image was made in photoshop and I used it as a sky material, so that the colors reflect on the shape.
I used another type of deformer, to create a shape in constant movement.
I found the animations very fun to make, but rendering took a lot of time. As well, my goal was to be able to create still 3D shapes that I can incorporate into posters. So I decided to focus on that.
When it comes to this experiment, I actually had the goal of adding typography to the shape.
But I realized that I have to own the Octane plug-in to make this happen, so I couldn't correctly add the text.
I still liked the created shape, so I decided to give it a reflective material and project different color combinations onto it.
This might be useful for the future since I can extrude any shape and give it a color or texture.
I really enjoyed making this animated shape. I followed a tutorial and then adjusted the settings.
I wanted to learn how to create a textile effect in Cinema 4D. It was actually easier than I expected, and I see a lot of potential for this tool.
I did this by creating a round cloth material and adding wind as a force.
REFLECTION

My main goal was to get used to the tools in Cinema 4D to later use the program in my works. I went through most of the available effects, and now I think I could try more complex shapes.

I followed Linkedin Learning tutorials at first since the tools are exemplified very well. Later, I searched for certain effects on YouTube and followed the steps, while adjusting the shapes to my linking.

As an outcome, I created some final combinations of 3D shapes and text. I wanted to make posters at first, but I did not have a clear concept or enough time. I choose to display words that, in my opinion, connect with the 3D visuals.

I definitely feel more confident with creating shapes now, but I would like to continue learning and work on the proper integration of text. I find it quite difficult.

I was surprised to notice there are so many plug-ins that are used for Cinema 4D, which aren't free. Because of this, I couldn't create many effects that I wanted to. So I guess plug-ins are needed and may be worth investing in, especially for material and text integration.

Rendering took such a long time.
You can basically wrap the cloth over any object by using forces.
In this context, I think a textile material would have made more sense. But I couldn't find an example of creating cloth materials without plug-ins.
